The shots heard 'round the world

Cholera, yellow fever, typhoid. Frightening words, and words most of us never think about. Vaccess Health, a division of Sanofi Pasteur Inc., thinks about them all the time. They needed a bifurcated plan to communicate the need for immunization to both physicians and patients who travel. For physicians, the message is both profitability and patient protection. For the traveler, the goal is education, informing them of the risk factors of disease associated with international travel.

Lorél implemented a branded engagement program, "TravelWise," and developed a dual marketing campaign, all distributed through the sales force. For travelers, a gorgeous print campaign juxtaposed the incredibly enlightening and wondrous experience of traveling to exotic locales with the frightening possibility of infection from indigenous diseases. For the physician, the program included critical immunization information, a "how-to" guide, and additional traditional and digital collateral materials. This campaign convinced many physicians to incorporate a travel immunization program into their practice.
