A grand old new beginning

Lehigh Valley Mall, a traditional indoor mall, saw that the future of retail was a blend of shopping and recreation. That led to the creation of a 120,000 square foot lifestyle center, featuring the shops and restaurants their customers wanted. Now all they needed was a truly grand Grand Opening. Enter Lorél. We created the vision for a 3-day Extravaganza, brought in the renowned Cirque acrobatic troupe, and saturated the market with event details including print ads, direct mail, Magalog, radio, outdoor and a microsite, plus online media placement.

If success is measured in meeting goals, this opening took success to a new level. Traffic rivaled that of Black Friday. Retailers' sales exceeded goals, in some cases by as much as 100%. Extending the trend, numerous stores experienced sales growth for the entire month. This Grand Opening campaign was followed up with an exciting new campaign "Come Out and Play" to keep the momentum and buzz growing.
